Rebecca Otto opens first campaign office in Vandalia Tower

Creative warehouse conversion places office off the Green Line between Minneapolis and Saint Paul

SAINT PAUL - Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Rebecca Otto kicked off the fall campaign season by opening an official campaign office.

“I’ve been energized by so many supporters across the state,” said Otto. “ Our campaign has grown rapidly to the point where we need to expand, and I’m thrilled be in Vandalia Tower.”

“We all know how critical it is to keep the Governor’s seat in 2018,” said Field Director Jake Sanders. “In order to win, we must be connecting with Minnesotans around the state. Our new office expands our capacity to advance these all too important conversations.”

“The space symbolizes Rebecca’s agenda of economic vitality and equality,” said Megan Thomas, chair of Otto’s campaign committee. “It’s in a beautiful reclaimed warehouse, right off the Green Line between Minneapolis and Saint Paul.”

“It has a different vibe than your traditional campaign office,” said Robert DesJarlait, an artist and writer who is a supporter of Otto’s bid for governor.

Abdirahman Kahin, the founder of Afro Deli and an Otto supporter, took the point a step further. “The energy I see in the office space is the same dynamic energy I know Rebecca will bring to our state as Governor.”

The office is located in the renovated warehouse art space at Vandalia Tower, 550 Vandalia Street in Saint Paul, next to Lake Monster Brewing Company.

Otto’s campaign will host a grand opening party and fundraiser on September 12 to celebrate.
